Northwest Arkansas now offers support online for those who are battling addiction thanks to a new website launched called www.SoberNWA.com. Addiction is becoming a national epidemic which Northwest Arkansas is far from immune to. The creator of the site (who remains anonymous) stated that the goal of the site is to allow not only addicts, but those close to addicts to have a place to reach out and interact with others who are going through the same situation. The site is free and open to anyone who needs help. Although the site is up and running, the owner says that by November SoberNWA will start holding weekly chatroom support groups as well as provide many recovery tools and resources. SoberNWA also supports 12-step programs like A.A. & N.A. and soon will have a directory of local meetings.
